This thread fails for lack of masamune, muramasa and kusanagi!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Masamune
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orochi

Now this thread rocks!
Why does it rock?
Because we have mythology and legends in it!

Ninjas trained with just about anything they could get their hands on. They even used portable cannons.

Nope, one goes on the finger nails the other is a climbing tool that bands around the wearers hand with spikes protruding from the band. Here is a picture of me wearing Shuko.

- no mention of the Jitte anywhere. I suppose it's a bit redundant, what with the Sai being listed, but I couldn't help but notice.
It's already there under Jutte. The "type of Halberd" reference is to a way it is used on the end of spears to snare and disarm opponents at range. It is also used on the end of a piece of cord to trap, disarm and then bind an opponent if I remember correctly. I have never trained with it myself though so that may not be entirely accurate if I'm honest.

- Also thought the Wakizashi was not used, in favour of the Ninja-To, which basically is the same length, but with a straight blade instead of the war blade's curve.
Curved blades are preffered due to being easier to draw at close quarters, which better suited a Ninjas style of fighting. That doesn't mean they don't exist (I own one myself) but it does boil down to the individuals style of fighting and preferences. Lastly, Ninjato isn't a particular type of sword, more a name for the group of swords carried/used by Ninjas. A Wazikashi or a Dai-Katana can be identified as a Ninjato for example, it's simply a common name.

Ehm... Hi Yah!?
Lol, Ninjas don't go Hi Yah!, they remain silent.

I don't post pictures of myself on the internet, but this should be sufficient proof.

Ninjas are special chinese soldiers.
Assassins are Special Ninjas, Hitmans.
Ninjas doing special quests, but assassins are just hired to kill someone.
They are wearing a lot of special weapons.
Swords (Katana, Daodao, Shinobi blade, etc), Daggers, Nunjaku (Chained rod)
,Simple Rod, Spear, Throwable starblades (dont know the name of it) and a lot of special weapons whitch makes them the greatest, most dangerous warriors in the world. (Until AK47-Kalassnykow...ehm)

Why they using Daggers in GW?
Its simply cool, and the warriors already have swords.
+ If you want, you can make your own A/W build to use sword, some build are not bad...

Maybe in Guild Wars 2, the ANet makes chars enable to wield and use more weapon, and if you switch your dagger into sword, your build changes (keeping the 8skill slot rule)
However, it makes the game more realistic.

You speak of either throwing stars or shuriken, depending upon how they're made.

An assassin is someone who kills for political influence, if I killed the president so my cousin could run, I would be an assassin.

This is so wrong on so many levels I won't bother commenting. "Ninja" isn't even Chinese.

Anyway, closed due to thread necromancy (if anybody wants to revive, make a new one or PM me).

EDIT: Whoops, forgot to actually close it.
